Guardian Wealth Management have today announced the appointment of James Ferguson as Regional Manager of Abu Dhabi.

Level-four qualified James Ferguson, who joined GWM in 2015, is currently studying towards chartered status with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Ferguson’s career started at Coutts & Co private bank in London before moving a few years later to the Bank of England. After seven years in banking, in 2008 he moved into private client work, working as an appointed representative of Legal & General and in 2012 became an independent financial adviser with Enness Private Clients.

Commenting on the appointment , Regional Director Hamzah Shalchi said;

"James is part of a new breed of financial planner with a high level of qualification who possess the strong leadership skills needed to transition the business in this ever-changing regulatory environment.

"With ever changing regulations in an evolving industry, James is the perfect person to add value and drive his team to new goals."

On his plans for the short term, James Ferguson said:

"My primary focus is going to be working with the team bridging the gap between the UK’s ‘RDR’ compliant advice and the offshore market. The offshore market is evolving and we need to embrace that.”

James added;

“I have been lucky enough to work for some prestigious companies in the UK market for many years before joining Guardian Wealth Management so I hope to be able to bring that experience and share it with an already talented team.”
