The assessment centre for the academy sees aspiring third year university students undertake a wide variety of challenges and provides candidates with an insight into the GWM story, current strategy and the international wealth management industry.
The calibre of students attending the day was incredibly high and the cream of the crop have been selected and invited back for the final stage interviews later this quarter.
Successful candidates will attend a final training day in April before heading off to Geneva, Dubai or Abu Dhabi to embark on a comprehensive two year training program.
GWM Group Managing Director Gavin Pluck commented:
“The assessment centres enable potential new recruits to interview GWM and asses our core values and principles in a way the traditional application/interview process doesn’t allow.
Graduates from across the UK attended our Mayfair Offices.
The GWM graduate program consists of six bespoke modules, designed to provide experience of all aspects of the wealth management process whilst simultaneously providing a learning framework geared towards achieving a globally recognised qualification in financial planning.
“The creation of the academy reaffirms GWM’s commitment to sourcing and developing the next generation of financial planners in line with our exemplary high standards. As a company we recognise the importance of all our new recruits being qualified to the very highest standard and that’s why the whole process is sponsored by us.”
To allow graduates to truly realise their potential they are able to call upon industry leading back office, compliance, marketing support and innovative IT systems ensuring they have all the tools needed to forge a successful career in financial planning.
