Responding to your needs

A profile on Guardian Wealth Management recently published in the International Adviser, looked back on the growth of the business and the way in which it has responded to the needs of international clients.

Guardian Chief Executive, David Howell, started in the world of insurance at just 18 years old, giving him a good grounding that would eventually lead to him to form his own UK IFA business which has gradually expanded around the globe.

A new trend for working abroad

Initially just focused on providing financial advice to clients in the UK, Howell soon realised that as his clients’ circumstances changed he needed to respond to these changes, the biggest of which was a new trend for working abroad, specifically in Europe, and so Guardian was born and opened European offices in Brussels.

To assist in building the global side of the business Howell joined forces with John Hasberry and together they have been responsible for opening further offices from Geneva to Hong Kong.

Growing with you

Guardian Wealth Management jenga

As any good business knows, if you grow with your clients, your clients don’t outgrow you and Guardian has invested heavily in developing regional centres from which clients can be serviced effectively.

But expats are now moving even further afield and Guardian has recently launched Guardian Global Solutions (GS) in order to further extend quality advice to clients who live in the more remote regions of the world.

Middle Eastern promise

Recently Guardian grew into the UAE with offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, from which they reach into the rest of the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Hong Kong, delivering advice into the heart of Asia.

Guardian now has Planners looking after over £800m on behalf of over 10,000 clients and is continuing to expand.
