UK Government Work with Guardian Wealth Management on Exciting New Project

UK Government Work with Guardian Wealth Management on Exciting New Project

There have been some exciting developments here at Guardian Wealth Management of late, with a new UK Head Office set to open in Llantrisant, Mid Glamorgan.

We’ve been very fortunate to have won the support and backing of the Welsh Government, including a financial investment of £850,000 from their Economic Growth Fund towards the creation of the £1.5 million headquarters which will house our new Financial Planning and Training Centre.

Welsh Business Minister, Edwina Hart has declared her support for the project and the many jobs that it will create in the local area, which already boasts a fast growing financial and professional services sector.

Hart comments that it’s “great news that Guardian has chosen Wales over all other possible locations for its new headquarters”, adding: “Guardian will be creating a significant number of highly skilled, well paid jobs and is a welcome addition to one of our key sectors”.

The number of employment opportunities will be close to 60 jobs in this year alone, rising to over 100 in the first three years of operation.

David Howell, our Chief Executive, recognises that this new Head Office will give the company an opportunity to address the growing financial planning requirements of the large Islamic community in south Wales – something which has been lacking in the past.

He says: “Wales provides excellent training in this field and, coupled with the talent pool from higher education, made it an excellent choice as a business location. We appreciate the support from the Welsh Government, which is proactive in helping businesses create, develop and nurture long-term sustainable jobs in Wales.”

Marlene Shalton to Take the Driving Seat in new Head Office

Our new Head Office in Wales is also sure to benefit hugely from the appointment of our new UK Managing Director, Marlene Shalton, who will be based in the offices from September this year. The current president of the Institute of Financial Planning, Shalton is sure to be a huge asset to Guardian with her award winning experience and knowledge of the industry helping to solidify our position as a successful, worldwide financial planning company

Shalton says: “Guardian Wealth Management has demonstrated its commitment to becoming a global financial planning firm, and I am looking forward to building on the great work already done to ensure that it becomes a vanguard of financial planning in the UK.”

Our new Financial Planning and Training Centre in Wales is sure to be a big success with the continuing support of the Welsh Government and the capable managerial expertise of Marlene Shalton playing such a significant role in its development and onward journey. We’re absolutely delighted to have her onboard.
