New head office opens in south Wales
22.06.2012
As readers of our news pages or other industry publications will be aware, Guardian Wealth Management are currently embarking on a new adventure. With dynamic expansion plans that will see us offering our professional wealth management planning in even more international jurisdictions than ever before, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new head office in Llantrisant, Wales.
Support from the Welsh Government
During the process of organising our new head office, we’ve developed a fantastic relationship with the Welsh Government. This led to a much appreciated investment from their Economic Growth Fund of £850,000, which has gone a long way towards the overall development costs of £1.5 million. The money has helped us to create our brand new UK Financial Planning and Training Centre, which, in turn, will create almost 60 jobs in 2012, and a total of more than 100 within its first 3 years.
Welsh Business Minister, Edwina Hart has given us a warm welcome to the country, calling our choice to locate our new head quarters in the country ‘great news’. With a key priority for Wales being the attraction of more head offices on their shores, and with an ever-growing financial services sector, it’s very much recognised that our new venture will help to create not just jobs, but growth and wealth too.
Wealth management planning in the UK
Guardian Wealth Management is currently concentrating on developing its UK presence, a move which has been influenced to some degree by the Retail Distribution Review which will be implemented towards the latter part of 2012.
David Howell, Guardian Wealth Management’s Chief Executive comments: “The introduction of the RDR will have a profound and dramatic effect on the way financial services are delivered in the UK and will undoubtedly create favourable market conditions for financial planning firms that are committed to investing in people and technology.”
He goes on to say: “Our company intends to be the vanguard of this new dawn, providing strong innovation, thought leadership and a proposition that is second to none.”
One of the reasons for choosing Wales is their excellent record for training, particularly in the field of providing wealth management planning for the Islamic community – something that has been unfortunately lacking in many areas of the industry.
In addition to this, there is a very strong wave of new talent coming through the Welsh higher education system, and we’re excited to be in a position where we will be able to provide opportunities to people interested in the wealth management planning sector and financial services industry.
