Celebrating the Bengali Community in Zurich with SwissPuja

Here at Guardian Wealth Management we pride ourselves in taking positive action and providing sponsorship for many worthwhile international events – our most recent venture into sponsorship was for the SwissPuja celebratory event for the Bengali community in Zurich, Switzerland.

SwissPuja is a voluntarily run, not-for-profit organisation and it’s been a real delight to be involved in the resounding success of this three day cultural event. Focusing on the thriving Bengali community in Zurich, the SwissPuja celebration of Durga Puja took place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October and welcomed more than 400 Bengali families who were invited to join in the celebrations of what is possibly the most important annual event in the Bengali community calendar.

It was a real honour to be invited to join the organising committee of this fantastic SwissPuja event, an offer extended to us through one of our prominent clients, Mr Rajat Bhattacharya, an important representative of the Bengali community in Zürich. Working with clients on an international scale has allowed us to recognise just how important cultural events are for bringing together expat communities who have found themselves living in a foreign country. In addition to offering our financial advice, we always recommend that expats become involved in societies that can help them to make friends and continue to celebrate their own culture while working in foreign lands.

Our sponsorship involvement in the SwissPuja celebration of the Durga Puja was through our help with the official souvenir brochure and the event’s website and allowed us the chance to demonstrate our cultural support, on top of the financial advice that we offer to our clients within the Bengali community in Zurich.
