Rashid centre for the disabled comes out a clear winner
TV stars Richard Keys and Andy Gray entertain over 400 hundred at fund-raising charity event
Guardian Wealth Management’s charity evening saw a huge turnout of over 400 guests at The Address, Dubai Marina event with TV and broadcasting sports legends Richard Keys and Andy Gray presiding over the evening. This wonderfully supported event had the aim of raising as much as possible for the Rashid Centre for the Disabled. This is an extraordinary charity that is completely dedicated to changing and improving the lives of children living with disabilities in the UAE.
Richard Keys, and world class footballer turned pundit Andy Gray, kept the crowds entertained with reminiscences, stories and above all with their wonderful banter.
Richard kicked it all off at the opening whistle with an overview of his extensive career as one of the UK’s most respected sports broadcasters and touched on many of the peaks and troughs along the way. It was then time to bring the substitute to the platform, and former Everton and Scotland striker Gray took to the pitch and the pair then went on to host a hilarious question and answer session with the guests.
The night was refereed by Will Myers, the Head of Sports Marketing at GWM who presented the night with his own particular brand of wit and enthusiasm.
A raffle raised further funds and a sports memorabilia saw the highest bid of the night securing a signed Ronaldo shirt.
Guardian Wealth Management marketing director Leighton Jones was delighted with the success of the event. He said:
“This is the first such event we have held in Dubai, and the whole team who worked so hard to make it happen are absolutely thrilled.
“Everyone had great fun and I would like to thank them all for their wonderful support and for helping to raise over AED 31,500 for the Rashid Centre. We are really looking forward to the next one already.”
